I build each guitar by hand, using carefully selected tone woods and a straightforward, clean design. Just solid craftsmanship, warm sound, and a feel that invites you to play.
These guitars are built one at a time, with attention to the details that matter most: tone, balance, and playability. If you're into instruments with character and soul, you're in the right place.
Currently, I am building OM style guitars. These are slightly smaller than the traditional dreadnought style and are perfect for fingerstyle and strumming. They are comfortable whether played standing or just sitting on your couch. See examples of recent builds on the Gallery page.
I build using only solid, ethically sourced woods. Tops are typically high quality stika spruce. Backs and sides are rosewood, black walnut or mahogany. Necks are mahogany. Fretboards and bridges are rosewood, ebony or similar wood.
All guitars come with high quality tuners, dual action truss rods, carbon fiber neck reinforcement, and of course; a gig bag or case.
Elise Guitars are priced very competitively compared to similar factory made guitars that use the same components and woods. Depending on wood choices, most Elise Guitars are in the $500-$1,000 range. Lead time to build is usually 3-6 months.
